Rules and Regulations for the NTDTV Chinese New Year Gala Promotional Draws

This promotional draw is conducted by NTDTV Canada (NTDTV) and sponsored by Simmons Mattress Gallery, Pepper Wireless Solutions Inc., Pappas Furs Designers Ltd., and Spicy Enterprises Inc. (Prize Sponsoring Companies).

How to Enter

The First Draw - At the NTDTV Press Conference on January 30th 2006, each Gala ticket that is paid for and/or has been verified as paid for is regarded as one ballot entry into the draw. Each ticket has one chance to win. Final entry submission deadline will be January 30th 2006 9:00 a.m.
The Second Draw - At the NTDTV Chinese New Year Gala on February 7th 2006, each ticket holder will have a chance to place the seat number as the ballot to a ballot box upon entry to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Each ballot has one chance to win. Final ballot submission deadline will be February 7th 2006 9:00 p.m.

Prizes

At the First Draw on January 30th 2006
  • 1 top prize of a Pappas Fur product with a value of $1000 will be awarded courtesy of Pappas Furs Designers Ltd.
  • 2 second prizes of Gift Certificates of Pepper Wireless products with a value of $500 each will be awarded courtesy of Pepper Wireless Solutions Inc.
  • 3 third prizes of Jinseng Gift packages with a value of $100 each will be awarded courtesy of Spicy Enterprises Inc.

At the Second Draw on February 7th 2006

  • 1 top prize of one set of Simmons Beautyrest with a MSRP of approx. $6000 will be awarded courtesy of Simmons Mattress Gallery.
  • 2 second prizes of Gift Certificates of Pepper Wireless products with value of $500 each will be awarded courtesy of Pepper Wireless Solutions Inc.
  • 3 third prizes of Skincare products with value of $220 each will be awarded courtesy of Kalai Int'l School of Aesthetic & Hairdressers Inc.

Random draw

For the first draw, representatives from NTDTV or Prize Sponsoring Company will randomly draw prize-winners from the entries received on 11:00 a.m. (PST), January 30th, 2006 at the NTDTV Press Conference.
For the second draw, representatives from NTDTV or Prize Sponsoring Company will randomly draw prize-winners from the entries received after 9:00 p.m. (PST) at the NTDTV Chinese New Year Gala in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received to a maximum of 1 in 2820.

Prize Winner Notification

Prizes will be awarded to the individuals who hold the winning tickets. Winners will be notified at the Gala and on website by NTDTV as to what they have won and where to claim their prizes. In addition, prize winners of the first draw will be published on the Chinese Epoch Times from January 31th to February 7th 2006, and the English Epoch Times on February 3nd 2006. Prize winners of the second draw will be published on the Chinese Epoch Times from February 7th to 10th 2006, and the English Epoch Times on February 10th 2006.
Winners of the prizes must sign a declaration and release form and accept the prizes as awarded. Prizes are awarded free of any hidden costs.
Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of 6 months from the date of the draw. After six months, any unclaimed prize will be reported and the prize will be given back to the respective Prize Sponsoring Company.

Contest Guidelines

Contest guidelines prohibit the following people from entering a ballot: NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Company employees; and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household.

Draw open to Canadian residents only. Winners consent to the use of their name and photograph by NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Company for publicity purposes. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated.

Conditions of Participation

By participating in this contest, selected participants agree: 1. to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Companies; 2. to the use of their names and/or likenesses for advertising purposes, without compensation; 3. to sign a declaration and release form that a) acknowledges the rights of NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Companies to publish or broadcast a winner's name, likeness and/or voice for publicity purposes, without compensation other than the value of the prizes offered; b) confirms compliance with the Contest Rules; c) releases NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Companies, their agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from any liability arising out of or in any way connected with the NTDTV Chinese new Year Gala and Prize Sponsoring Companies prize give away promotional draw, the awarding of prizes, the use of personal information as aforesaid, or the use of prizes themselves.

The declaration and release form must be returned within fourteen (14) days of the date of the receipt by the selected entrants in order to claim prizes.
Participants are solely responsible for the timely submission of entries as specified in these Official Contest Rules.

Protecting Your Privacy

NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Companies are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information is collected at the claim of the prizes and retained to contact you in the future for survey purposes and the sale and promotions of NTDTV and Prize Sponsoring Companies products and events. Your personal information is not shared with any other organizations, unless we otherwise have a legal duty or right. We do not give, sell, trade or lease our customer information. You have the ability to update your records, or to unsubscribe from future direct mail and/or email campaigns. If you unsubscribe from both the direct mail and email options, your information will be removed from the database.
